My Story
Growing up in Lambton County, my love affair with food began early on.
Living with a mom that cherished local produce, I spent countless weekends trailing after her through the farmer's markets, local delis, and our favourite bakeries. As my fascination with nutrition and teaching took root, I realized I could turn my passion into a career as a Registered Dietitian.
After earning my degree in Applied Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph, I dove headfirst into a dietetic internship, followed by nearly a decade as a clinical dietitian at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. Eager for more learning, I pursued my Master of Public Health with a Collaborative Specialization in Women's Health at the University of Toronto.
Despite my love for city life, there was always a pull to reconnect with my roots. I moved back to Lambton County and made the decision to turn my passion project, Kitchen Witch Nutrition, into a full-fledged wellness business.
My mission is to cultivate a nurturing space within my community, fostering meaningful dialogues about nutrition that empower individuals to forge healthier relationships with food.
In my spare time, you can usually find me wandering in my garden, learning about native plants, taking pictures of my cat, catching sunsets on my paddle board or training for my next trail run.
As for the witch part…
I've always loved them. Witches in history were often intelligent & influential women sticking it to some oppressor. I also admire their association with the natural world. Food itself is powerful in how it nourishes both our body and soul. I like to think this influence is a little bit of witchcraft.
